About Docklands

DOCKLANDS

The London Docklands area has been transformed into one of the most exciting commercial and residential environments in the world.

Alongside the glittering office towers of Canary Wharf, a rich mix of developments, purpose-built luxury apartment blocks and warehouse conversions full of period character - all making the maximum use of the spectacular waterside setting - have helped to make today's Docklands the last word in sophisticated urban living. Transport links with the City via the Docklands Light Railway and the West End via the Jubilee Line are first class. Using the latter, for example, you can be at Green  Park in just 20 minutes - while things are set to get even better in the next few years with the completion of Crossrail. This makes the area an ideal location for commuters or anyone wanting to live in easy reach of everything that Central London has to offer. Meanwhile, for those travelling further afield, particularly on business, London City Airport is right on the doorstep.

As for leisure, entertainment and shopping, Docklands boasts an appropriately vibrant and eclectic mix of international restaurants, cafes, pubs and brasseries, together with a wide choice of shops selling everything from groceries to designer label clothes. The proximity of the Thames, not to mention the acres of water enclosed within the docks themselves, are ideal for water sports, while there are several marinas for boat owners to moor their craft, often within sight of home!
